Donate to Foster Youth Nonprofit: Give a Young Adult a Place to Land

Eighteen is too young to face the world alone. No family. No safety net. No one to call when the plan falls apart.
When you donate to foster youth nonprofit Floyd’s House, your gift directly provides a safe home, practical life skills, and steady adult support for young adults who are entering adulthood without anyone in their corner.
When the System Steps Away, Your Gift Steps In
For most young adults, turning eighteen is a celebration.
For those aging out of foster care, it is the day the support stops.
Overnight, they are expected to figure out housing, employment, transportation, healthcare, and every demand of adult life, without the family support most young people still rely on well into their twenties.
Many end up without stable housing within months. Not because they lack potential. Because they lack what every young person needs to grow: consistent relationships, a safe place to live, and enough stability to build from.
To support youth aging out of foster care is to step in at the exact moment the system steps away.
That is what Floyd’s House does. And your gift makes it possible.
Floyd’s House is not being created just to keep someone off the street for one night.
It is being built to help young adults move from survival to stability, from instability to dignity, and from being on their own to having a real place to begin and a real place to return to.
More Than a Roof. A Real Place to Begin.
A bed for one night is not enough. Real change takes time, structure, consistency, and people who keep showing up.
Floyd’s House is not an emergency shelter. It is a long-term transitional home where young adults can begin building a stable, independent life.
When you donate to Floyd’s House, your gift funds real, daily, whole-person support:
Safe Transitional Housing
A stable, secure place to live while young adults work toward independence.
Practical Life Skills Training
Cooking, cleaning, budgeting, groceries, scheduling, appointments, and the everyday skills most people learn at home.
Education and Workforce Development
Help with school enrollment, vocational training, job searches, resumes, interviews, work habits, and long-term planning.
Mentorship and Guidance
Consistent adults who show up, listen, offer honest advice, and help residents build real confidence.
Support With Standards
Your donation is not charity in the passive sense. It is an investment in a young person’s ability to stand on their own.
Floyd’s House operates on a model of dignity and accountability. Residents are expected to work, attend school, or participate in vocational training. They share household responsibilities. They are held to clear, fair standards, because real stability is built through effort, not just given.
But accountability here never looks like abandonment. Every resident knows they are valued. Every resident knows someone is in their corner.
As a housing nonprofit in East Tennessee, every dollar you give goes toward building capable, independent young adults who contribute to their communities, not just survive in them.
