Partner With Foster Youth Nonprofit: Stand in the Gap With Us
Eighteen is too young to be handed adulthood with no family, no plan, no safe place, and no one to call when things fall apart.
Every year, young people age out of foster care and face homelessness. Not because they are not capable. Because no one is standing in the gap.
When you partner with a foster youth nonprofit like Floyd’s House, you are not writing a check. You are becoming part of the safety net a young person never had.
We are building a family-style support system right here in East Tennessee. And we are looking for people and organizations willing to help us finish it.

Meet the Organizations Behind the Mission
Real change happens when a community shows up together.
Floyd’s House is deeply grateful for the local businesses, foundations, churches, and civic groups that stand beside our young adults. These are the partners who prove our residents are seen, valued, and not forgotten.

What Your Partnership Makes Possible
Choosing to partner with foster youth nonprofit Floyd’s House is a direct investment in the future of young adults in East Tennessee.
Your support helps provide:
- Safe transitional housing so no young person sleeps on the street while trying to build a life.
- Life skills taught in daily life including cooking, budgeting, scheduling, transportation, and all the things most young people are still learning at home long after they turn eighteen.
- Mentorship and steady adults who show up, listen, and stay. Consistent relationships are not optional. They are the foundation.
- Education and workforce support including job searches, vocational training, school enrollment, and long-term planning.
- Structure and accountability that build confidence, responsibility, and forward motion.
When you partner with Floyd’s House, you are helping young adults move from survival to stability. That is what your support accomplishes.
How Partnership Works
There is no single way to stand in the gap.
Financial sponsorship
Ongoing or one-time financial support helps cover housing, programming, resident needs, operations, and the daily costs of keeping the home open. Floyd’s House is a registered IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofit. All contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
In-kind support
Not every partnership involves a dollar amount. Local mechanics offering free oil changes. Grocery stores donating fresh food. Counselors providing pro-bono care. Professionals donating time, expertise, or materials. These contributions keep Floyd’s House running and show our residents that the community is behind them.
Volunteer and mentor involvement
Young adults need consistent, caring adults in their lives. We offer structured opportunities to volunteer with foster youth, teach life skills, help with job preparation, host family-style meals, or simply show up as someone who notices and stays.
Corporate and team engagement
If your team wants to serve together in a meaningful way, we welcome it. Volunteering alongside your colleagues at Floyd’s House is not a photo opportunity. It is real time with real people who benefit from your presence.
Voices From Our Community
The best way to understand what partnership means is to hear from those already living it.
